Updated Word Count

As of this minute the current word count is 11,320.

Yay! Nearly 500 words. I am impressed with myself. Will have to try and improve on that tomorrow. 😀

Word Count

Well, i had an idea for how to keep myself from getting distracted. I’ll put the number of words done so far in the story on here and then later on (or in the morning) I’ll write how many again.

I dont like to let myself down so i have a feeling it will push me to do as much as i can.

Present word count: 10,829

Let’s hope tomorrow, it’s over 11,000

First feedback

Just got my first bit of feedback for my latest story (and it was positive) but now I feel uneasy, like they might be disappointed with the rest of it…which i still haven’t written yet (me and my procrastinating :-/)

I have to admit i do find it difficult every so often to finish a story and get easily distracted by other things (FB, eBay, Amazon…) and wondered what you did to keep focused?

Need to finish

Well, i really need to knuckle down today and finish the last few chapters of the book i mentioned yesterday and upload it to short fiction.

Then i can carry on with another plot i have on the go–one of many–a shifter romance. It’s going well at the minute but i have a feeling it may just come to an abrupt end unless i can figure out a good path for it to follow. Good luck to me on that one :-S

My latest story…

I put my stories onto a website called www.short-fiction.co.uk under the username lscc  first to see what people think of them. If they like them i make them available on amazon (and shortly Smashwords).

I’m working on a story at the minute where the main character, Hugh, meets the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen on his way home from work–after she stumbles out of a car–and she propositions him. He’s stunned to say the least. Why’s such a pretty girl prostituting when she could probably have anyone she wanted? He turns her down and walks away but is unable to forget her sparkling green eyes and perfect bow mouth…or her smooth skin.

It’s safe to say they meet again and things progress from there…

I’ve uploaded the first two chapters onto the above site and they should be appearing shortly… hope you enjoy ;D

Book trailer?

What do you reckon about book trailers for my books? Would it attract more people? Or, knowing me, would it come out bad and put people off?

This is a new thing im trying…

I’m hoping to attract a larger audience to my books so thought I’d start a blog about what I’m getting up to writing wise and this is it. I just hope i remember to update it once in a while. *Fingers crossed*
